Le Morne Brabant rises approximately 556 metres above the ocean. Its cultural landscape, recognised by UNESCO in 2008, remembers the resistance and struggle for freedom of people who escaped slavery. This is a land tour with a scenic coastal stop overlooking Le Morne and the lagoon. A mountain climb or boat trip to Île aux Bénitiers is not included. Aerial photographs illustrate the landscape.
Gris Gris is a sightseeing stop. Its exposed coast has strong waves and currents, so swimming is unsafe. Stay on designated paths and follow local guidance.
